Bonjour / hello / g'day
About Morgane
I’m Morgane, a French girl who upped sticks from rugged Brittany to study creative Arts and Advertising in gothic Edinburgh and eventually settled in rural Victoria, where I now live with my loving partner, two beautiful daughters and a very loyal Border Collie.
As a Melbourne wedding photographer with a passion for natural beauty, I love classical composure, the Romantic aesthetic and pure nostalgia. I’ve always been captivated by human emotion and behaviour, which is why I fell so hard for photography and documentary-style videography as a medium for my creative expression.
In order to capture couples as their truest selves, I focus on making them feel as comfortable and happy as possible. I capture love stories both on digital and analog cameras, sometimes mixing stop motion and video.

inspirations
I have started with the idea that there was a specific way of being a wedding photographer. That there was specific photos that we had to take, that there was a very specific way of taking them. That there was very specific gear to use etc.
I purposefully tried to do the same thing as others, and doing what I thought was expected of me as a wedding photographer.
Turns out, that's not my way.
I immensely grew when I actually realised that I wasn't a wedding photographer, but I was a person who takes photos at weddings. I am a person who loves documenting moments, might it be at weddings, in the street, in a studio for a fashion shoot.
I really found my process when I didn't have this pressure of fitting into a box anymore, with these ideas of what wedding photos should look like.
